Monte Carlo, Monaco & The Sterling Navy Reversible Ascot Tie pt 2

Monte Carlo, Monaco pt Deux – It’s just another day in European paradise. The weather has a perfect touch of mildness to it but the breakfast…expensive. After a late start we venture off on foot. The district of Monte Carlo is only a quarter square mile. The issue is that it’s all hill.

The walk through Monte Carlo a bit tricky at certain parts, almost like a maze. The walk down to Port Hercule (the main port) is a scenic one which provides plenty of photo opportunities. Along the way we pass the Stade Louis II Stadium (home to the soccer team of AC Monaco), then we come across a couple of luxury car dealerships, and finally we approach an overpass leading toward a small shopping center. Along the way, it’s evident that the street we’re on turns into a Formula 1 track come race day at the Monaco Grand Prix. We get to the top of the overpass and get a semi-elevated view. With the elevation of the overpass, we’re given a beautiful view of neighboring France as a backdrop to start shooting the Sterling Navy Reversible Ascot.

The Sterling Navy Reversible Ascot is the successor to the Bubble Blue Sterling Ascot. The Sterling Navy Reversible is a dynamic ascot that provides the individual with an opportunity of two separate looks of fashion. A great example of how the Sterling Navy side of the ascot is used can be seen in this photo. The shirt used in this photo has a one of a kind print. This shirt or any other shirt with an eccentric pattern will normally clash with virtually any pattern found on an ascot. However, the shirt is complimented by the solid navy color that may not be provided by the bubble blue side. Since navy is a dominant and reoccurring color every year and the choice of having two different sides to choose from is always a plus, the Sterling Navy Reversible Ascot is a no brainer for a consumer in the marker for an ascot.

After a few clicks of the camera we decide to continue our journey to the port, until we are interrupted by an alley. Please allow me to go further into detail. As a child I spent my weekends in Queens, NY w/my grandmother, roughly 12 miles from Manhattan. There were always dark stories and hardened expressions about alleyways. However, this alley may have possibly been the cleanest and safest alley I’ve ever come across in life…clean enough to present another photo op.

As we round the final bend, we see water…glistening, calm water. What should have been a 20 minute walk came out to about 2 hours, resulting in a couple of hungry stomachs. We settle down port side where there are $13.00 beers, plenty of food, and a much needed “free hug zone” after the bill comes.

As I sipped my overpriced beer, I couldn’t help but daydream into the horizon of the Mediterranean. Monte Carlo, I hope to see you again soon.
