How to Tie a Sterling Ascot

How to Tie a Sterling Ascot

Long Island, NY – The Sterling Ascot is an intricate product, not like any other ascot tie, bow tie, or dress tie. What separates our ascot ties from any other ascots are the thought, time, and process that takes place before our ascots hit the market. Once we have a desired travel destination, whether it be stateside or abroad, we search fabric houses in the immediate area and schedule a visit. If and when we receive inspiration on a pattern for a new ascot tie or scarf idea, we purchase enough fabric to hand make a handful of samples in our Long Island sewing room. We then go to a second destination for a photo shoot where our ascots, scarves, and or pocket squares make their test run debut in public. Organically, we receive feedback (both positive and negative) based on inquiries, comments, and body language of people on the street. Once we feel very good about a product’s reception to the general public, we mass reproduce and offer it to the general public for sale.

We understand that there are two types of ascot consumers, the first time buyer and the intent ascot veteran. The first time buyer may want to give the ascot a try but may not be sure of how they will be perceived when they wear it. Another issue the first time buyer may have is wanting a stylish ascot without the typical high prices associated with silk ascots. They want to achieve the look for the first time and give it a test run with low monetary risk associated with it. As a result, Sterling Ascots offers the microfiber ascot. Our microfiber ascots may not be silk but they are trendier and by far more eye catching than most ascots you will find anywhere else. For the price, you will achieve the look you are shooting for and you are promised to be a return customer.

On the other hand we have the self coined, intent ascot veteran. These consumers have worn ascots before, know what they want, and know what to expect for the price range. Whether the ascot is silk or microfiber, they are decisive in their search for an ascot for a certain occasion and know how to nail the look they are searching for. The intent vet may have a preference and it’s usually silk and the promised sheen and craftiness that comes with it.

For beginners and vets alike, Sterling Ascots has decided to put together a short video on how to tie our microfiber Sterling Ascots and our Silk Sterling Ascots. Please keep in mind that there are plenty of ways to tie an ascot but these are just 2 very common ways to get you started. As time goes on we will release other promotional videos detailing our search for fabric overseas and we’ll mix in our photo shoot adventures that make up the intangible backbone of Sterling Ascots. We hope you find our instructional video is helpful and as always, we thank you for your patronage.
